Entertainment today is largely a question of switching channels. Hope springs eternal and so one surfs along seeking anything that will stimulate jaded audio-visual appetites suffering from a surfeit of second-rate software. Everything, however, has a price and effortless entertainment, like cheap liquor, leaves a nasty hangover for which there is but one antidote – thrillers of class and distinction – stimulating, entertaining and rejuvenating.
